HAL’s work is practical, community focused and partnership driven. The association combines public education, advocacy, outreach, training and patient support so that more people can be diagnosed and connected to care.

Awareness
Education activities help schools, communities and families recognise symptoms and reduce stigma.

Advocacy
HAL convenes stakeholders to promote equitable access to care, treatment and diagnosis.

Outreach
Outreach helps connect underserved communities to information, referral pathways and support.
Capacity building
HAL supports training for health workers, nurses, teachers and community volunteers to strengthen the national response to bleeding disorders.
